Introduction to Rock Climbing

This course is designed for individuals—adults and children—who have never climbed before or have only experienced indoor climbing and wish to delve into the adventure of rock climbing.

If you have little or no climbing experience and want to get started.

  • Movement on rock and how to use rock climbing shoes
  • Top-rope climbing
  • Safe belaying
  • Build outdoor climbing experience
  • Basic safety skills
  • Understanding of outdoor risks
  • Have a lot of fun and climb many different routes!

Andreas Rossidis is a certified guide (Rock Climbing Instructor, Mountain Training UK) with over 5 years of teaching experience and 12 years of climbing experience, with an onsight grade of 7b+ and redpoint grade of 8a. Additionally, being a local climber, he can choose the most suitable crags and routes for you.

  • 2 days, ideally consecutive

Learn to Lead outdoors - Become an autonomous climber

The aim of this course is designed for you to become a safe and independent outdoor rock climber, capable of leading your own routes.

  • This course is ideally, but not exclusively, for people who have climbed before and already possess the essential skills of rock climbing. 
  • Some prior experience will be helpful for this course.
  • Choosing appropriate climbs and understanding guidebook terminology
  • Movement skills to try climbs of different nature
  • Different belaying methods – several ways to secure your partner with a rope and belay device 
  • Using the ropes and quickdraws safely when you lead
  • Route reading – planning ahead
  • Tactics to save energy while climbing strenuous routes
  • Falling – how to fall safely and in control
  • Foreseeing problems and dealing with them
  • Retreating down a route

He has been running a beginner’s climbing course (learn to lead) for 3 consecutive years now in Cyprus.



  • 5 days + 1 climbing day
  • Usually 3 consecutive weekends;
  • We run this course twice a year, in the fall and in the spring.

Indoor to Outdoor Progression

Make the transition from indoor climber to fully independent rock climber.

  • You’re already a competent lead climber in the gym, now you want to explore the world of outdoor climbing. 
  • Ideal for gym climbers.
  • Top rope climbing & Lead climbing outdoors
  • Improve your climbing technique outdoors (move efficiently, foot work, balance)
  • Choice and use of climbing gear
  • Safety & Belaying skills
  • Work on your mental strength

Progression Course for Lead Climbers

Already taken a lead climbing course? Feeling competent with the technical bits but feeling stuck with your climbing level? Then this is the right course for you.

This course is designed to take your climbing to the next level. We’ll focus on refining your skills, building strength and mental resilience, and expanding your climbing horizons.

  • Climbers who have completed a lead climbing course

  • Able to onsight 6a
  • Looking to push your climbing limits
  • Advanced climbing techniques to tackle challenging routes
  • Tailored training plans to boost your climbing performance
  • Identifying your strengths and weaknesses to focus your improvement
  • Mastering different climbing styles (slab, vertical, overhang)
  • Refresher on fall management and giving a soft catch
